Tessa Garrow is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). Tessa utilizes an emotion focused, mindfulness-based, and interpersonal systems oriented theoretical perspective when working with clients. Tessa has experience working with a diverse range of mental health issues, including but not limited to trauma, eating disorders, concerns related to gender, postpartum, and identity. Tessa values taking a holistic view regarding an individual’s experience beyond mental or emotional states to consider physical health, relationships, and surrounding environment.
Tessa has specialized in working with the LGBTQAI+ community and is a certified Safe Zone Trainer. Tessa also works with her dog Waffles, who is a Canine Good Citizen (CGC) and a Therapy Dog International (TDI) certified therapy dog, to provide animal-assisted therapy to certain clients.
Laci is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over ten years experience in the social work field. Laci utilizes a client-centered approach to address client’s goals. Laci believes the best approach to addressing a client’s needs is dependent upon the client as an individual. Together, the client and Laci will determine which evidence-based therapeutic techniques will be most helpful to the client. Laci is skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness based practices, Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, and other treatment modalities.
Laci has a broad range of experience working with anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and other mood disorders. Laci worked in hospital, residential, employee assistance, community resources and outpatient settings. Laci’s experience includes working with families, adolescents, groups, couples, and individuals.
Ellen received her bachlelor’s degree from Purdue University and her master’s degree from Indiana State University. She is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and a Certified Health and Wellness Coach through Wellcoaches. Ellen believes in using an evidenced based approach while utilizing a mindfulness-based perspective when working with clients.
Ellen realizes that eating patterns and habits are individualized. She understands that the key to true health and wellness can be achieved by rejecting the diet culture and messaging that surrounds us every day and focusing on what works best for our own personal health. She approaches nutrition from an integrative, functional perspective and uses nutrition to unlock the client’s potential to develop a healthy relationship with food and their body.
