We know that eating and making food choices can become a significant source of distress. Countless people suffer from poor body image and weight stigma in our society’s toxic diet culture. This in turn can impact one’s physical health, mental health, and overall quality of life. We aim to help our clients cultivate a healthy relationship with food and to work through the barriers that inhibit them from the health they deserve.
Our Registered Dietitians will meet the client where they are with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach. We believe that self-acceptance and self-worth provide a foundation for physical health and emotional well-being. We provide practical guidance to help clients gain insight about what health and wellness means to them. A thorough nutrition assessment will ensure clients are placed in the best program based on their personal goals and needs.
When necessary, we treat not just the individual, but also the family unit. Family members and loved ones can provide critical support during the client’s journey, but sometimes they can unknowingly and unintentionally cause tension and stress around food. Our treatment team is eager to work with the client’s loved ones to help them understand how to best support the client’s goals. Family can be biological, marital, or simply the client’s main support person(s). We understand that recovery and healing is best done together, not in isolation.
